    Located in the northern part of the region, Chateau Fongaban, Puisseguin Saint Emilion is Biodynamically produce and a blend of 80% Merlot and 20% Cabernet Franc. This produces a wine that is not only extremely flavorful in the mouth but shows off dark fruit-forward as well as nice depth and complexity.

    Muscadet may not be on your wine radar, yet. But this Loire Valley appellation is growing in popularity due to its unique qualities and excellent value. Ragotière's 60+ acres of muscadet vineyards are located near where the Sèvre and Maine rivers converge into the Loire, before flowing to the nearby sea. Pale straw color with a greenish tint. Aromas: Citrus and minerals. On the tongue, this wine is light and tart, with lime and green herbal flavors that come across a bit salty, with a hint of capers present. The finish is palate cleansing and refreshing.

    Founded in 1600, the Hippolyte Reverdy family has been making wine in the Loire for many generations. This red sancerre is made from 100% Pinot Noir grape from vines with and average age of 30 years. The Pinot Noir in the 2019 vintage shines thru with a beautiful silkiness followed by a bright flavor of red fruit. The vineyards are farmed sustainably with the grapes being entirely de-stemmed before fermentation and the wine is bottled unfiltered.

    The vineyard plots here have an average age of 1- to 40 years, and like on a limestone clay-loam soil. The nose opens with citrus-tinged notes that gradually make way for a bouquet of white florals of lime blossom and acacia. Round and full- bodied on the palate, this wine contains all the flavors of Juicy white fruits such as pear and peach. The Vérizet Viré Clessé, with its lively palate is a perfect wine to enjoy with a simple cheese board as well as a seasoned ham, seafood or scallops. Its unique mineral aspect makes this a wine that thrives on contrast.

This wine sourced from 80 year old vines is just outside the Chateauneuf boundary. The Coudoulet de Beaucastel is so incredibly long and rich you will find it difficult to believe it is a Cotes du Rhone.     Château La Vieille Cure (92 Parker Rating below) is one of the benchmark producers in the right bank of Bordeaux. The soil found in this site is heavy on limestone and the average age of the vines are 40+ years old and are all hand-harvested. Indigenous yeasts are used in the cellar. A blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc and Cabernet Sauvignon, Château La Vieille Cure is one of the stronghold of these terroirs located in the north of Bordeaux adjacent to Pomerol and Saint-Emilion. Parker review is below. Rating 92+ Robert Parker Wine Advocate - Deep garnet-purple in color, the La Vieille Cure opens with cedar chest, graphite and tree bark scents, giving way to a core of baked blackberries, stewed plums and cherry compote, with wafts of Sichuan pepper and star anise. The full-bodied palate is wearing a lot of oak at this stage, with a good core of baked black fruits and loads of exotic spice accents, supported by grainy tannins and enough freshness, finishing woody. Drink over the next 12-15 years.
