The Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay enjoys bright sunny days, cool evening breezes off the Pacific and chilly evening fog for which this region is known. Flowers Vineyard & Winery has used organic and sustainable farming practices since it was founded in 1989 by Walt and Joan Flowers. All these factors ensure proper ripening, lively acidity and freshness that is found in every bottle. The wine itself shows off a light straw hue along with expressive aromas of citrus zest and honeysuckle. On the palate the aromas are heightened by well-balanced minerality and textural salinity very much influenced by the Pacific. So if you are looking for full-flavored Chardonnay for your evening meals then your search begins and ends with the Flowers Sonoma Coast Chardonnay.

  • 2016 Marcel Lapierre Morgon

    (sale price $28.99)

    buy now add to wishlist

    750ml - Bottle - New Stock

Traveling due south from Dijon you come to the region of Morgon which is home to the Gamay grape. Here in 1973 Marcel Lapierre took over his family estate and almost immediately Marcel took up in the “natural wine” movement Marcel Lapierre Morgon. Decomposed granite comprises most of the eleven hectares, and the vines are an average of 45 years of age. Grapes are picked at the last possible moment to obtain the ripest fruit, which is a trademark of the estate style. Shortly after the 2010 vintage, Marcel passed away and the estate was passed down to his son. Mathieu Lapierre was already schooled in his father’s winemaking practices and he immediately took up where his father Marcel left off to ensure that his father legacy lived on. The result of all this is a wine that has a vibrant bouquet with perfumed dark cherries and red currant. On the palate, this wine made from 100% Gamay is nicely structured, yet not a hard edge can be found anywhere from its lively start to its subtle finish.
