Descending from the gravelly Bages plateau, the Chateau Lynch Bages is a heavily muscled wine, with leather and sticky licorice on the nose, and a grippy casis and blackberry body. A fascinating construction, this is a wine that wants to lounge in the cellar, and will repay you for your patience. The blend is mostly Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot with the balance being Cabernet Franc and Petit Verdot.
