A bright, full red. Aromas of raspberry, flint, menthol and licorice are lifted by a floral topnote. Very concentrated, tightly wound wine with terrific cut and an herbal/mineral lift. Conveys an almost late-harvest dried-fruit nuance but at the same time penetrating and not particularly fleshy, showing a minty quality. Best today on the floral, slowly rising finish, which features firm but very suave tannins.
