The Tenuta Sant’Antonio Valpolicella Superiore Ripasso Monti Garbi is a mid-weight wine with a classic nuance of dried cherry and plum that segue to mild spice, tar and toasted chestnut. Ripasso is a traditional and unique style of wine where the standard Valpolicella wine undergoes a second fermentation in the presence of pressed grapes skins used to make the most famous wine of the region, Amarone. The use of this method adds an impressive degree of body and complexity these wines, putting them a step above your average Valpolicella. The blend is 79% Corvina and Corvinone with the balance being Rondinella, Croatina and Oseleta.
