Truth be told, inexpensive Pinot Noir is a bit of a rare bird. We do see them, certainly, but the bend in the creek lies in finding one that shows the true characteristics of the grape. Montinore does. It has the gentle garnet color, the mid-weight balance, and the generous flavors of cherries and blueberries. Wonderfully versatile, it pairs well with salmon, tuna, or beef. It is a delightful effort and a true value play for lovers of Pinot Noir.
