Tasting notes from Allen Meadow's Burghound: Pretty aromas of the essence of red cherry, crushed anise and just enough earth to remind you that this is from Nuits. There is good volume to the vibrant middle weight flavors that terminate in firm, serious and moderately rustic finale that is compact but not hard. There is a touch of warmth but it's not really enough to significantly affect the balance.
