Made from 100% Nebbiolo and offering a modest 13.5% alcohol, vinification of this wine comes from different vineyards from the Langhe/ Barolo area. For all intents and purposes the Vietti Perbacco is a declassified Barolo. Aged approximately 2 years in oak and blended in steel tanks prior to bottling, this wine offers up a mid-weight style perfect for food pairing. With generous fruit and spices, this wine shows complexity and elegance without giving up any of its intensity of dark fruit, spice and licorice. This wine would be the perfect choice for hearty stews, roasted red meats and aged cheeses.
