About Francos Wine Merchants

We specialize in fine wine and single malt scotch, with selections from throughout the world. We have excellent wines from France - with a large selection from the Burgundy and Bordeaux regions - and from Italy, Australia, Spain, and the US including many outstanding California wines.

While we have wine from the larger known vineyards such as Cakebread, Caymus, Silver Oak, Far Niente, Jadot, and Latour, we also have a wide selection of boutique wines from throughout the world. Our champagne selection includes Dom Perignon, Cristal, and Grand Dame from Veuve Clicquot.

We also take pride in our wide selection of single malt scotch.

Francos Wine Merchants is a family owned business that has been in operation in New Canaan, CT since 1933.

4th of July Wines: Outstanding American wines we recommend for the holiday are: Napa Valley's 2006 Norton Ridge Chardonnay ($14.99), the 2007 Matanzas Creek Sauvignon Blanc ($22.99), The 2007 Saintsbury Garnet Carneros Pinot Noir ($19.99), and Napa Valley's esteemed 2005 Clos du Val Cabernet Sauvignon ($26.99). Any of these wines will nicely complement your holiday festivities.

Single Malt Scotch on Sale: From the heart of Speyside we are pleased to present the Singleton 12yr ($31.99). Made with selected barley and pure water from the high hills above Glendullan, this brilliant scotch whisky is aged in Sherry and Bourbon Oak casks, allowing for a rich and smooth character.

Other excellent single malt scotch choices are the Edradour 10yr ($54.99) and the quintessential Ardbeg Uigeadail ($79.99).

Cabernet Special: The 2005 Summers "Andriana's Cuvee" Cabernet Sauvignon at $18.99 is an excellent California cabernet and is still on sale.
