The Family Domaine of Gérard Boulay in the famed Sancerre village of Chavignol can trace its history back to the 1380’s. Thriving on the slopes of Chavignol on Kimmeridgian soil (Limestone and clay), the vines start at 45 years of age and go up from there. The family Domaine works the vineyards manually and has farmed organically since 1990. The result is a wine bursting a refreshing citrus nose. In the mouth the chalk and minerality come forward with slightly hidden acidity are refreshing vibrancy lasting all the way to the finish line.
