This fabulous 2nd label of Chateau de Fieuzal hails from Pessac Leognan in the famed Graves section of Bordeaux. Over the past few years L’Abeille de Fieuzal has developed a strong identity of its own under winemaker Stephen Carrier. Like most wines in this region this wine is a blend of primarily Cabernet Sauvignon and Merlot, along with a small amount of Cabernet Franc and Petite Verdot all 35+ years in age. This wine offers aromas of fresh red fruit such as strawberry, raspberry and cherry which carry on through to the palate. Oak is present but subtle and discrete. The weight and length on this wine is gorgeous and combined with its structured richness makes it the perfect wine for when you fire up the grill for the season.
