The manageable size of this estate allows Daniel Rion and his sons to hand harvest their grapes which they collect in whole bunches. This method preserves the integrity of the grapes and increases their aromatic potential. The Pinot Noir used in the Daniel Rion Côte de Nuits-Villages “Mosaic” has a beautiful bright red fruit on the nose backed up with hints of black tar, chocolate and licorice. On the palate the texture is chewy and rich with notes of cherry and fresh strawberries. The mild acidity and firm/ripe tannins all lead into a dry, lean finish.
