This wine is full of flavors coming from the blend 60% Sangiovese, 15% Sagrantino, 15% Merlot and 10% Montepulciano. Carrying a bit more bite to it, this wine has a spicy yet fruity taste in the mouth which opens up beautifully in the glass and would flourish with some decanting. A great wine to have with cheeses, but it’s true culinary home would be a pairing with some traditional Umbrian dishes such as Pork with Juniper berries or Spring Rack of Lamb with Saffron.
