With vines as old as 20 years, the Chambolle Musigny from
Joseph Drouhin might be younger than other offerings of
theirs, but this wine is not to be underestimated. The nose
is complex, evoking black cherry, damp earth, and violet
along with game and truffle. The palate has a good balance
of texture and acidity...lace and silk come to mind.
Refined tannins coat the palate as the finish is long and
full of cherry and candied fruit.
