Descending from the gravelly Bages plateau, the Chateau Lynch Bages is a heavily muscled wine, with leather and sticky licorice on the nose, and a grippy casis and blackberry body. A fascinating construction, this is a wine that wants to lounge in the cellar, and will repay you for your patience. The blend is 69% Cabernet Sauvignon, 26% Merlot, 3% Cabernet Franc and 2% Petit Verdot.
