From the granitic soil bordering the foothills of Cote de Py comes this beautiful Cru Beaujolais. Only from 80 year old vines can you get a wine that has a superb dark color and concentrated ripe fruit, all balanced out by great structure. Winemaker Charly Thevenet (son of famous winemaker Jean-Paul Thevenet) was schooled in winemaking from his father’s friends such as Marcel Lapierre, Guy Breton, and Jean Foillard. Thus everything at this vineyard is done by hand and biodymanically. With only about 500 cases produced, this wine will not last long.
