In the province of Verona in hills of Negrar is where the Mazzi Valpolicella Classico Superiore "Sanperetto" is located. In 1960 Roberto Mazzi finished his studies in Agriculture and began work at his family Estate. Now that work is carried out by his sons Stefano and Antonio who produce the Valpolicella Classico Superiore. Primarily Corvina and Corvinone (70%) the balance of this wine is made up of Rondinella (20%), and Molinara (10%). Bright red in color with aromas of cherry, violet and pepper, this wine is round the mouth, with a slight acidity from the chalky loam/clay soil. Not too weighty, this wine could easily be paired with grilled red or white meat.
