Aged for a minimum of two and a half years, the Don Julio 1942 Anejo is an homage to the original Don Julio and its rich history, which began in 1942 (thus explaining the name of this bottle). The agave is slowly cooked for 72 hours in masonry ovens and then double distilled. Warm oak, vanilla, sun-ripened tropical fruits, spiced undertones, and roasted agave enrich the palate as the nose is occupied by notes of rich caramel and chocolate. The finish consists of lingering oak and rich vanilla, perfectly encapsulating the golden amber color of the tequila. A special tequila for any and every special tequila.
