    This wine has a great flavor full of fresh fruit, and has pleasant hints of mineralization as well. Distinct tastes of green apple, as well as white pepper, and nuances of mango are all in balance to create a crisp finish, with a light spice to round out the palate. For those of you looking for white wine that is different, the Domane Wachau Gruner Veltliner Federspiel is a great alternative to serve with various seafood dishes, or a variety of poultry menus. Although, if you are so inclined to dig out a traditional ‘weiner schnitzel’ recipe that would be a classic match for this wine.

    Valerie Forgues and her Domaine de la Mechiniere are located in the Loire Valley’s Touraine. The 2016 Valerie Forgues Gamay is made from 100% Gamay and in a natural fashion and is soon to be certified organic. She harvests by hand, uses indigenous yeasts and bottles without fining or filtering.

    Verdeca is an ancient Apulian grape variety that has a terrific bright yellow color with subtle green shades. Intense fruity on the nose, with scent of tropical fruit, citrus, pear and fresh spices. On the palate it is full, well balanced with a good acidity. Fruity, mineral and mildly spicy aftertaste.

    Northern Italy up in the region of Alto Adige there is a sweet spot that gets a beautiful southwestern exposure, and it is there where the pinot noir for this wine grows. With aromas reminiscent of wild blackberries and raspberries, this wine with its garnet-red color provides an elegant and fruit forward wine. Fermented in stainless steel and aged in wood, this wine will be perfect the casual skirt steak, flank steak or burger on the grill.

    The Wölffer Estate employs Old-World grapes and methods to produce a uniquely New-World rose. Enjoying the breeze off of the North Atlantic just 2.6 miles away, the vineyard's terroir mirrors the conditions of bordeaux, lending this wine a European elegance that compliments the liveliness of the Long Island soil. A gorgeous salmon-copper in the glass, the floral and flinty aromas segue smoothly into peach and apricot on the palate. A classically dry finish rounds off this engaging rose. Best enjoyed well-chilled, either on its own or with any number of summer seafood dishes. This wine is a blend of 50% Merlot, 26% Chardonnay, 7% Cabernet Franc, 6% Pinot Noir, 5% Sauvignon Blanc, 3.5% Cabernet Sauvignon, 2% Riesling, 0.5% Gewürztraminer

    In the small village of Verdigny, a commune of Sancerre in the eastern Loire the Hippolyte Reverdy’s family has been making wine for generations. In 1971 Michel Hippolyte joined his father and soon after in 1983 he started working with Kermit Lynch Imports. In true Kermit Lynch fashion the vineyards of Hippolyte Reverdy see no pesticides, the yeasts are of indigenous nature and no extra sulfites added. Very pure and fresh, this wine broadens itself once on the palate and you literally taste it from the moment it hits your lips until if trails off the back of your tongue. Oysters, clams or lobster create singular harmony with this fabulous effort.

    Named for the wild Douglas Iris that bloom here in the spring, Iris Vineyards is a south facing, bowl-shaped valley is surrounded by the rolling foothills of the Oregon Coast Mountain Range. Owners Richard Boyles and Pamela Frye began planting their vineyard in 1996 and their first vintage was in 2001. Currently their wines are crafted under the watchful eye of winemaker Aaron Lieberman who joined them in 2008. What first strikes you with the Iris Vineyards Pinot Noir is the bright ruby color as it hits the light as it leaves the bottle. The aromas of raspberry, plum and blackberry are released as you pour it into your glass. In the mouth you are treated to a deep, rich flavor and a long palate which is what makes this wine so versatile with a variety of foods.

    André Iché, who passed away in 2007, was an ardent disciple of natural wines and a pioneer of great wine in the Languedoc. Fortunately for the natural wine movement his family continues his passion. André personified the region and was a leader in elevating it from a producer of bulk wines to a region of wines reflective of its ancient vines and wonderful terroir. Les Hérétiques is 100% Carignan grape and a thoughtful choice for those looking to expand their palate. It has a very floral personality and works perfectly with casual warm weather menus including any fare off the grill.
